What we sell.
Most products on wvleather.co.za are made-to-order to the options you select (size, colour/leather, sole, etc.). Production typically takes up to 14 working days (about two weeks) before dispatch. Natural leather may show shade and grain variation.
Size exchanges (our standard policy).
We’ll gladly exchange for a different size of the same style/colour, subject to:
- Notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery at hello@wvleather.co.za.
- Items must be unworn, undamaged, unaltered, and returned in original packaging with all accessories/tags.
- All courier costs are for the customer’s account (both directions). Use a tracked service and keep proof of shipment.
- Exchanges depend on stock availability and manufacturing lead times. If the needed size isn’t available, we can offer an alternative or a store credit (valid 6 months).
Custom-made / special-order items (no refunds).
Products custom-made or custom-ordered to your chosen options (including made-to-order variants) are not refundable and not returnable for change of mind or incorrect sizing. We treat these as special-order/customised goods under South African law, which are excluded from the ECTA cooling-off right. We will, however, honour your rights for defective goods (see below).
Defects & statutory warranty (CPA).
If an item is defective or fails to meet the CPA standard of good quality, reasonable durability and fitness for purpose within six months of delivery, you may—at your election—request a repair, replacement, or refund. If a repair fails within three months, we will replace or refund. To log a defect:
- Email hello@wvleather.co.za with your order number, photos and a description within a reasonable time of noticing the issue;
- We may arrange collection to assess the item;
- If the defect is confirmed, we’ll cover the return shipping and proceed with your chosen CPA remedy.
What isn’t a defect.
Natural leather marks/colour variation; fair wear and tear; water/chemical damage or misuse contrary to care advice; damage from unauthorised repairs/alterations; and sizing issues where the supplied size matches your order.
Cooling-off rights (read with the exclusions above).
For online purchases of non-custom items, ECTA may provide a 7-day cooling-off period from delivery or conclusion of the agreement (whichever is later). Custom/special-order goods are excluded. If a valid cooling-off cancellation applies, you must return the goods at your cost in original condition to 22 Carters Road, Rhodesdene, Kimberley, 8301; after inspection we’ll process the refund within the statutory period.
How to return or exchange.
Email hello@wvleather.co.za first to obtain return instructions. Pack securely, include all packaging/accessories, and ship to the Returns Address above. Risk remains with you until we receive and inspect the parcel.
Manufacturing warranty.
In addition to the CPA remedies, we provide a 7-day manufacturing warranty from delivery for obvious workmanship issues. This runs alongside—not instead of—your CPA rights.
Refund timing (where legally applicable).
Refunds (for CPA-confirmed defects or valid cooling-off on non-custom goods) are processed to the original payment method after inspection. Bank processing times may apply.
